Planning estimate only — based on typical ranges, not a binding quote. Final price depends on fabric, fit, trims and destination.
What goes into your clothing manufacturing cost?
Your per-unit price is built from a few moving parts. Understanding them helps you plan a realistic budget and spot where to save:
- Blank / fabric cost — driven by fabric weight (GSM), composition and the garment's complexity. A 180 GSM tee costs far less than a 400 GSM loopback hoodie.
- Cut & sew labour — the number of operations and seams. Outerwear and denim have many more than a basic tee.
- Branding — prints, embroidery, woven labels and hangtags each add per-unit cost and sometimes a one-time setup.
- Quantity — setup and cutting are spread across the run, so larger orders cut the per-unit price.
- Shipping — ex-works keeps the unit price lowest; DDP bundles freight, duties and door delivery for convenience.
